Thanks to forum member hotnanas, There is now an easier way for people that dont have a portable computer to load custom vehicle and voice files into the DNX9960 and 6960. This involves creating two folders on your SD card. You can title your folders anything you want but for this demo I titled mine CARS and VOICES. Once you access the trip computer display in the second pic, be sure you hold the speed indicator circle for five seconds to get to the DIAGNOSTICS PAGE. Look over the pics below for a step by step. Again, always do a backup of your unit files before doing any moding in this manner. Also thanks again to forum member hotnanas for this great find.

I wish I could say I was smart enough to figure that one out. All credit goes to Asimon which credits it to Cry. Trying this on my 9960 and vehicles work fine, but when I copy the voice over, its not in the list to choose from still. On my 9140, it would be in the list, but the voices would never work

Is it the .RGN file that I need to copy to the VOICE folder? I tried that and nothing showed up, even after a reset.

All you need to do is download your voice file, unzip it, and copy it to the VOICE folder on the unit.

Weird I downloaded the files that were linked to in your other thread, unzipped and a .rgn is all i got along with an updater.exe
